02/06/2006 - Flanders has a logo (Designed by BBC)
Perhaps you read in the press. Flanders has a brand new logo.
This logo will feature on all Flanders’ communication abroad.

Why use a logo?
The image of Flanders abroad can be of major importance for the economic and political relations, investments, the interest in cultural and scientific provisions, tourism,... In short: for anything Flemings have to offer the world. A good image of Flanders abroad is therefore essential. That is why a modern, attractive logo was chosen.
Hitting it off with Flanders
Flanders fits you: we address the reader personally with the friendly promise that “you will hit it off with Flanders”. This is not a slogan which boasts about how big, rich or great Flanders is, but instead a short, simple straightforward promise: whatever you are looking for, Flanders has it.
The lion
The flag of Flanders already represents a strong symbol. It goes without saying that the lion has been used as a basis for the new logo: it is formed by jigsaw puzzles in different colours and shapes, illustrating the rich diversity of Flanders. The logo lends colour to Flanders, in a modern, dynamic way.
